Super Saturday

Today was a relatively great day. We only had one soccer game (due to reasons listed in previous blog) and I did my grocery shopping, and got to go to the mall briefly just to browse casually. Donny watched football all day, even on his little screen TV at the soccer game.....
I had done some advance cooking Friday night throwing together my chili and twice baked potatoes while I fixed dinner for today, so everyone just ate that all day with some fresh guacamole. Perfect fall day, leaves blowing, cooling temps, and beautiful clear sunshine. It makes my heart soar. I feel like I come alive again when fall starts. Everything is crisp. Apples, leaves, the air, and nice crisp snaps to the quarterback....wow, I love fall! Donny and I fell in love and got engaged in this weather and it is not hard to tell why, I think it does something to him too.
I decided to make us a big meal to come home to after church tomorrow, roast, potatoes, creamed spinnach, fresh yeast rolls and a pumpkin pie. I wish I'd thought ahead and had all our friends come join us tomorrow afternoon... I'm always too late.
